Born Jorge Rincon Ruiz in Bogota Colombia (1977).  At the age of 23 (2001) on the last year of his BA on International Relations and Government Affairs Jorge travels to Montreal , Canada to learn English & French. Thanks to this new skill to be able to read in other languages and the contact with a peaceful environment, the discovery of Yoga and Meditation and with the inspiration to find peace within himself Jorge becomes sincerely interested in the Teachings of the Buddha. After relocating to British Columbia in 2003 , Jorge finds more opportunities to be connected with the Dharma, In the year 2004 Jorge attends his Holiness the Dalai Lama talk on Educating the Heart in Vancouver. After this Jorge's aspirations to study and practice the Buddha Dharma continue to grow. In the year 2005 moves to the Sunshine Coast of BC and meets his Root Teacher the late Cha'n Master  Chien Harne (AKA as Master Henry)  from Taiwan , who was the abbot of the Sunshine Cha'n Temple on the Sunshine Coast. Sunshine Ch'an Temple (A memoir) (sunshinezencentre.blogspot.com)
